Position: Senior Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Conceptual design, architectural partitioning between analog and digital signal processing, and interface definition between major blocks associated with communication transceivers

• Contribute to systems specification of a high-speed communications integrated circuit

• Develop behavioral simulations and author system specifications

• Work with and support the IC designers

• Participate in pre silicon verification, post silicon validation and specification conformance

Qualifications:

• MSEE with 5 years experience, Ph.D. a plus

• Solid understanding of communication theory, fundamentals of signal processing, physics and modeling of transmission media and sources of interference

• Demonstrated experience in design and specification of mixed signal, high complexity chip solutions

• Expertise and hands-on experience in exhaustively simulating communication systems using C and Matlab

• Proficiency in some/all of the following areas:
   – Echo cancellers and equalizers
   – PLL’s and timing recovery circuits,
   – Data converters (ADC and DAC)
   – Analog baseband (line driver, hybrid, low noise amplifier)
   – Line interfaces (transformer)

• Past experience with copper channels highly desirable
